Homeopathy

I am so chaffed for everyone that finds homeopathy. It's where impossible becomes possible. It's where we honour our nature and work with our body and mind rather than against it.

About homeopathy

Homeopathy can be used for acute and chronic illnesses. I find it of particular value for healing trauma or to help my clients through periods of transition such as pregnancy and birth, childhood and teenage period, separation, menopause, dying and loss of any kind. It’s also proven to have a profound effect on addictions and cravings.

Homeopathic medicines are called remedies. These work work with the whole system (mind, body and spirit) as they stimulate our Vital Force as Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, considered the Life Force also known as Qi, Prana, Inner Healer…. With homeopathy we bring about balance on all planes: physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. Truly holistic.

More about Homeopathy

Homeopathy was founded 200 years ago by a German doctor called Samuel Hahnemann. He was a medical doctor who became so disillusioned with the medical practices at the time that he gave up the practice of medicine and started translating academic texts. It was when he was translating Cullen’s herbal materia medica of using Peruvian bark for treatment of malaria that got him curious how the side effects of this herb could be lessened which lead to him developing homeopathy.

Whilst many substances in its original form, including herbal preparation, can cause many side effects or be lethal, Hahnneman found a safe use of these through the process of high dilutions and dynamisation achieved by succussion (tapping the bottle against a surface). In effect the resulting remedies are the 'memory' of the original matter. And whilst we don't yet fully understand how this works on a physical/material level studies such as water memory brings us closer to comprehending this.

Homeopathy sits comfortably alongside other natural treatments, and can be used alongside medication prescribed for you by your family doctor. This is how I came to find homeopathy in fact - through our GP, now retired, Dr Bonnett, who offered me Belladonna to bring down the fever when the children were ill.

Homeopathic process and remedies helps us gain greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and is as such a beautiful modality for doing deep personal work.

My homeopathic training

As an Occupational Therapist I was able to completed a 5 year training programme with the Faculty of Homeopathy. I then studied further two years with the School Homeopathy (now School of Health) and completed postgraduate training with Bill and Linda at their fabulous Welsh School of Homeopathy.

My training was in classical homeopathic approach, that included Sensation method (Sankaran), Jungian teachings, Evolutionary method and my teachers included Jan Scholten, the Joshi's, Michal Yakir, Annette Sneevliet and many many others.

I am also trained in CEASE detox therapy and which is of great relevance for those who have never been well since they had a drug (prescribed or recreational) including vaccinations, antibiotics or have been exposed to environmental factors such as mould, heavy toxins and don’t respond to a well indicated remedy.

I have also work with the Banerji Protocols when appropriate.

My work nowadays extends beyond the remedy. On basis of our somatic inquiry

I will teach you about remedies that may be appropriate for you to take which you will be able to compliment with the more organ specific remedies, including Tissue Salts or when indicated consider a detox.
