
Flower Essences
There are many ranges of flower essences. Perhaps the most well know are the Bach Flower Remedies. I use these and Australian Bush Flower Remedies in my practice. These work particular well on emotional level, are easily accessible and practical to use. Below I give an example of remedies from them both that can help enhance clarity, focus and concentration, that I may choose from when working with someone where that needs a little help around productivity.
Bach Flower Remedies
Bach flower remedies were developed by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s to address emotional imbalances. Bach Flower remedies to support mental clarity, concentration and focus:
Clematis: Helps with daydreaming and lack of focus. It encourages grounding and present-moment awareness.
Chestnut Bud: Supports learning from experience, which can improve concentration over time.
Cerato: Enhances decision-making and trust in one’s own judgment, reducing distraction caused by self-doubt.
Australian Bush Flower Essences
were developed in the 1970s as a complementary system to Bach and focus more on contemporary emotional and mental challenges.
Remedies to aid concentration include:
Bluebell: Enhances focus by helping individuals stay present and aware, counteracting daydreaming.
Crowea: Clears mental fog, helping with scattered thoughts and increasing clarity.
Boronia: Encourages a calm and positive approach to tasks, reducing mental fatigue and procrastination.
Using Flower Remedies
Both Bach and Australian Bush Flower Essences are taken as drops either directly under the tongue or diluted in water. We can also blend several together. They are safe to use alongside other treatments and carry no known side effects.
