Tony’s case
From being bullied at work to feeling free and pursuing his dream
Tony was 55 years old when he came to see me due to great anxiety.
Tony worked in a hospital as a nurse. He enjoyed his work greatly, but this was overshadowed by bullying behaviours from one of his colleagues. He experienced a great deal of anxiety, feeling disempowered and hatred for that person. Tony wanted to leave his job, but felt like that would be like giving in and letting the bully ‘win’. During the process we worked on:
him reclaiming his power
releasing his childhood trauma
establishing more helpful boundaries
polishing the communication
honouring his dreams
We did so alongside doing somatic work. He had this experience of helplessly sinking and not being able to surface above the water. The sensation that he experienced guided me to a sea remedy. The combination of our work and the remedy led to him becoming neutral about the persons who bullied him at work and Tony gave himself permission to follow his passion and learn to ride a motorbike.
4 years on Tony tells me that he is still happy and content and enjoying many good rides on his bike.
